Established in 1905, the funeral business has been passed down through five generations of the Deeley family.
On leaving school, Michael joined his father Jim and mother Brenda to run the funeral business alongside the building and carpentry. In 1992, Jim and Brenda decided to take early retirement.
Michael and his wife Julie became the fourth generation to continue the family tradition.
They went on to have four children of their own Rebecca, Sophie, Olivia and Samuel.
In 2016, their youngest daughter Olivia became the fifth generation
soon to be followed in 2019 by her younger brother Samuel.
